ATTENTION New York State residents: NY Public Health Law Section 574 prohibits hair analysis laboratories from processing hair samples from residents of New York at this time. We cannot process hair analysis orders with a NY State shipping address. If you have any questions, please contact us.
ATTENTION international clients: Please note that you will have to pay the shipping cost to send your hair sample to the lab, just putting a stamp on the envelope will not be enough. We recommend paying for trackable shipping so you know when your sample is delivered. If you have any questions, please contact us.
▶︎ The price of this test includes a "Profile 1" report (graphical representation of the results) from Analytical Research Labs and a 15-minute follow-up consultation with Kristina Amelong, CCT, CNC in which she will help you interpret these results and make suggestions for your health.

The HTMA's three areas of measurement and analysis are:
- Nutrient mineral/electrolyte levels in the body's tissues, including calcium, chromium, magnesium, selenium, sodium, phosphorus, potassium, nickel, iron, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, manganese, lithium, zinc, and boron
- Toxic metal levels in the body's tissues, including lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and aluminum
- Significant mineral ratios, which help determine carbohydrate metabolism, thyroid function, levels of inflammation, adrenal reserves, copper toxicity, tissue breakdown, and calcium shell

HTMA Ratios Explained!
Kristina Amelong, CCT, CNC walks you through the key mineral and heavy metal ratios that are tested through a hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA). These key ratios provide valuable insight into adrenal health, thyroid health, hormonal health, your body's inflammatory response, and more.
HTMA: How to Collect Your Hair Sample
Kristina Amelong, CCT, CNC provides step-by-step instructions on how to collect your hair sample for the Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) and send it in to the lab. Each HTMA kit also includes detailed instructions, so make sure to read those too before collecting the hair sample!
How the Testing Process Works
- When you order a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), we will mail you a testing kit in a regular envelope, which you should receive within 7-10 days.
- The accuracy of a mineral analysis depends upon many factors. While our lab partner, Analytical Research Labs, is responsible for the technical aspects of the test, the results will only be as good as the raw material or sample that is received. For this reason, the more care that you exercise sampling your hair, the better the results will be. LEARN MORE
- After you send the kit directly to the lab with your hair sample (per the instructions provided), it takes approximately 10-14 days for Optimal Health Network to receive the test results from the lab.
-
We will email a PDF of the test results to you within 2-3 days after we receive them from the lab. These will be emailed to the email address associated with your Optimal Health Network account.
- When you receive your test results from us, please fill out our secure client intake form. After you submit the form, you will receive a link to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation with Kristina via her booking calendar.
- IMPORTANT! If you are ordering this test for someone else (e.g., a family member) to take, please include the test-taking individual's full name in the ORDER COMMENTS box upon checkout to ensure we can match the lab results to your order and therefore be able to email the results to you.
- If you select free standard shipping at checkout, you will not receive an email when the HTMA ships, because there is no tracking number for this shipping method. We always ship HTMAs within 48 hours of purchase. Standard shipping via USPS can take up to 2 weeks to arrive. If you need faster shipping, there is a trackable priority shipping option at checkout for $8.95.
