Pollution in Your Community

It turns out that the city where I live, Madison, WI - a city I experience as VERY favorable to a good, clean life, in the scenic heart of the Midwest - sits in a county that is ranked among the dirtiest 20% of all counties in the United States in terms of toxic air releases. I wasn't aware of this until very recently. I live within 6 blocks of the #9 air-polluting factory and within 20 blocks of the #2 air-polluting electric company. Like all of us, I am not knowledgeable enough to know exactly what toll this takes on my body. However, a clearinghouse website for pollution levels in specific communities, Scorecard, reports that Dane County, the county I live in, is among the worst 20% of all counties in the U.S. in terms of an average individual's added cancer risk from hazardous air pollutants.
Suddenly, the regular detoxification and colon cleansing practices I partake in have a greater significance.
If you wish for assistance in setting up an individualized detoxification and/or colon cleansing regimen to deal with the toxins that you are exposed to in your community, please contact the Optimal Health Center. We are always honored to work with you personally.
Your options with us include, but are not limited to:
- Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis - This is an invaluable screening tool used to determine the heavy metal load in your body, including lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and aluminum.
- Gastrointestinal Health Panel - Toxins in the body reduce immunity. Low immunity can lead to numerous common health problems. The GI Health Panel is a useful screening tool for immunochemical markers such as chymotrypsin.
- Male Hormone Panel Tests / Female Hormone Panel Tests - Pollutants can affect several hormone systems of the body. By measuring hormone levels and hormonal relationships, we can effectively tailor a detoxification program that meets the toxic challenges placed on your individual body.
