Copaiba
(Copaifera reticulata) is a powerful essential oil from South America that has traditionally been used to aid digestion and support the body's natural response to injury or irritation. Copaiba contains the highest amounts of beta-caryophyllene (55 percent) of any known essential oil. Beta-caryophyllene has been extensively studied for its ability to modulate the inflammation process. The significance is that it is approved by the FDA as the first dietary cannabinoid (a substance that occurs naturally in the nervous and immune systems). Use it to relieve pain and other inflammatory issues. It is the only essential oil tapped directly from the tree; it is not distilled.
